That error code indicates problem readings when comparing MAP (intake) pressure and turbo boost pressure. Probably a leak in boosted air pressure side. You have already replaced the two problem hoses, which are the most common cause of this fault. If there is smoke showing from behind the radiator, you probably have an intercooler leak, or perhaps one of the hoses to/from it. I haven’t heard of intercooler being prone to failure on TDV8, but it is quite common on TD6.
Can’t help with someone to replace the intercooler, but any competent garage ought to be able to do that. It shouldn’t be necessary for them to be a LR specialist, but I suppose it may be quicker and cheaper if they have done one before. It is likely to be a lot of work, though, so not very cheap. It’s a case of removing front bumper cover and electric fan. Removing the aircon condenser, which will need the gas to be removed properly. Then removing and replacing the intercooler. Replacing everything else and then refilling the refrigerant in the aircon. Apart from the issues with having to remove and recover the aircon refrigerant, it is a job that could be done with basic tools at home if you were careful and patient. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322
