Sorry to bump this folks, but does anyone know where the cabin air con temp sensors are please? Not the ambient one just above the clock, but there must be left and right for the driver/passenger zone control? Really can’t face a trip to London with passengers and no air con!

The pressure control valve issue is widely known on the 4.4 TDV8 as linked, but not so much your engine.

Thanks for the response, much appreciated. Think I’d still like to check on the temp sensors though as that’s what the error message is saying. Reading through that thread it looks like Ross at Grenlands sounds a good bet for proper diagnosis too. Not a million miles from me as I’m in Dorset. Still like to know where those damned temp sensors are! FFRR 4.2SC/KTM 990SMT Current and cherished. Honda Accord 2.4 Vtec touring. Thanks Gary, much appreciated. It doesn’t seem that my compressor is even spinning up at all so I wonder if it’s a sensor before all of that. Complicated stuff air con! If you get someone with the proper diagnostics or GAP tool (i have a GAP tool and live in Southampton - would need another member to confirm if the tool can be used to see live values on other cars without unlocking), they'll be able to see the live values for your cabin temperature sensors, evaporator temperature to confirm the system is getting cold enough, and that your compressor clutch is functioning. They may also be able to obtain some more insightful fault code detail. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

thanks Gary, I’ll look into that. I’m a big fan of starting with the cheapest/simplest first, so getting a solid pointed seems the logical way! FFRR 4.2SC/KTM 990SMT Current and cherished.
