Pre-vent worked well

Hot day today. Wanted to try venting the cabin to see how it worked. Very impressed - cool (not cold mind) and still running when I got in the car. Ran for around 20 minutes without any low battery warnings.

Hi. Is that feature available on all models or do you need to have the auxiliary heater option to cool the car down (I've seen somewhere on this forum that you can use the auxiliary heater to cool the car down when parked)?

Hi there.

I have the Webasto FBH and it simply monitors the outside temp and decides whether to heat or vent. I used the remote to activate it. I also have the option to manually heat/vent in the timed climate section of the touch screen.

Thank you for your prompt reply! Definitely a useful feature to have then, also in warm climates.

I thought "Aux Vent" was standard on all cars (with the Nav Display)? Then if you had the heater it was "Aux Heating".

is there not the option to keep the heat/ventilation running after the engine has been switched off from one of the heater buttons, which is totally different to using the Webasto remote control to turn on the auxiliary heater/cold air blower.

excuse me if i am getting confused!! Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Yes, you are correct.

The Keep Warm function uses the heat from the engine to keep the cabin warm for 30 minutes (great for if you're popping to the shops)

To activate you press "MAX A/C" upon exiting the car (with the key out of the ign)

This only works when the exterior temp is below 15C and if the engine is warm (I forget what is classed as warm - something like 75C)
