I really need to try this lubrication business, kettle at 9.45am to get in, let it idle for 20 mins, then another kettle, drove 5 miles to local supermarket, frozen again, gotta love them Thumbs Up haven't dared to go near the L322 Rolling with laughter not ridiculously cold, about -4/5 degrees

Don’t try ptfe lube- didn’t work!!! The only reason I don’t want to do the kettle trick is I’m worried that introducing more water into the mix might be causing a problem later on when it goes cold! 2009 (2010 MY) 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography

Dealer said they lubed it, power lockb which they replaced in April was fine. They said if it persists then they'll replace the cable next.

So, I cross my fingers and hope for the best 2012 Supercharged L322

Well, door won't close again. Contacted the dealer who's going to quote the cable/assembly. Good times :/ 2012 Supercharged L322

Wife just had to clamber over and exit the driver door Sad

Dealer quoted $380 (Canadian) to replace the cable. I'm going to check with the Indy to see if they can deal with it because I've already gone through them twice and I'm unhappy to say the least at this point.

Here's what I suspect is the issue:

Quite a good video that.

I would make the point however that it would prudent to disconnect the battery before getting involved with the electrical connectors within the door card. Don't think this is mentioned in the video.

I've been here before (with my erstwhile TD6), replacing the drivers door lock actuator - which would be permanently powered as door locks are required to operate with the ignition off.
I took (seemingly) appropriate advice and as a consequence did not disconnect the battery.
I should have gone with my instincts.

Upon reconnecting the various plugs (that for the window switches I think), all of the windows opened suddenly as did the sunroof.
And for a while at least none would close again.
I think I perhaps cycled the ignition once or twice before finally getting them to close.

The nearside door mirror however had retracted and remained so being unresponsive to the switch controlling it.
The cause, eventually diagnosed by a local indy was a failed BCM.
Cost to me, two or three hundred pounds and a wait of a couple of weeks due to parts availability.

Others may correct me, but I do think that if in doubt when messing with anything electrical on these cars, disconnecting the battery is probably safer than not.

Indy pulled the cable and showed that wear and tear allowed enough moisture to accumulate, which would freeze when cold and seize/not return to original position after being actuated. He's forced air and some oil into it which should good enough until the replacement (new $73) cable arrives on Tuesday.

Still ticks me off to no end that the Dealership didn't deal with this A) in April when they replaced the power lock after I reported that the handle/door wouldn't close, or B) when I returned again this month with the same issue along with video... 2012 Supercharged L322
