Jumping start from starter

Tried to jump start from the starter motor, no dice. I mean the cars alarm kicks in but won't let me unlock.

I tried hooked up a car battery charger to start motor and negative cable on chasis and still same result. But now the charger says I have 14v instead. Is this some anti theft Censored ?

The manual method to get in doesn't work.

So am all outta ideas.

I guess for one am I tapping the right positive cable? i assume I am but what do I know. I removed there there was a cap and hooked up to there, when I check the battery is says 4-5v.

There are sparks from the chasis when I connect to it. So guessing that means it's the right one?

it's the 4.4 tdv8.

I do have 2 towing outlets at the back but not sure which is which to tap? Its actually a sport Sad

All I know is that I use the left one 🤣 so dug out a pic, it’s the white one my CTEK adapter uses.

No idea which pins though, sorry.

I reached this point today also. It does work but you have to be determined. Get the emergency key blade out of the fob. Fully insert it into the slot under the cover on the passenger door. Twist it toward the door whilst pulling top and bottom on the cover with the other hand. It will come off exposing the barrel lock. Now unlock with the key blade so that the other doors & bonnet can be opened from inside.

I was not able to jumpstart but I don’t understand why. I’m now on plan B which is to remove the battery and charge it out of the car. I’m not able to run the charger to the car as it’s on the opposite side of the road to my house but I have charged in-situ before and that has worked so it may be an option for you. TDV8 4.4 2012

Slow charging off starter motor did it. Still battery is Censored . Is there anyway I can make sure the bonnet doesn't lock when shut? Its actually a sport Sad
