The seals on the tailgate lowering sometimes seem quite tight against the inner faces of the rear pillars and can make a rubbing sound as they brush past. On mine, I think the friction is enough sometimes for the tailgate to sense a problem like an obstruction and will stop lowering. I've thought about putting gummifledge along the seals to see if that would lower the friction. V8 or else ... |

They can go out of alignment, if not fixed the spoiler can break....
