TRW definitely make these, they have TRW embossed into the plastic. One thing to be aware of is there are 2 different types of electrical connector, one with rounded plug, and one with rectangular plugs which has rounded-off corners (see pic) |

Will the faults need clearing once I replace the actuator or can I just cycle through a handbrake service mode? |

Put the EPB in service position, remove two bolts and the electrical connector, fit new part, take EPB out of service - might need to cycle the EPB a couple of times afterwards, personally, I'd put it in 'service' then disconnect the battery if you don't have the ability to clear DTC's. |

Been quoted £700 for both to be replaced, seems a bot high but that is MD |

There are genuine TRW ones on EBay for £90. (TRW is the original manufacturer if you look on the back of the ones on your car) |

Genuine parts are roughly £250 a side so ~1.2 hours fitting is about right. |

Ours were done by a MD, but I did a friends on the drive it’s a 10minute job if you just replace them but maybe a 30 minute job if you take your time and clean up the calliper and any corrosion caused by the water ingress.

They quite often rot on but are quite straightforward to replace |
