TDV8 4.4 Engine Cover Foam

Hello
Just had a look under the engine cover of my TDV8 4.4 and I noticed the foam insert is starting to crumble, I don’t suppose anyone knows if these can be obtained or would it be cheaper to buy the whole cover or is that not available
Any advice would be much appreciated Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

My foam is OK but the cover is badly smashed, looks like someone took it off, put it on the ground and then stood on it..!!

A new one is around £150.... It's LR038152

If you decide to get a new one I will buy your old one if it isn't broken anywhere.. Thumbs Up Pete

The engine diagrams show the whole cover as a single piece. The part number is LR038152.

It shows as not overly expensive - £150 from main dealer and is available from factory order. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I would suggest you remove the foam as soon as possible because it makes a right mess of all the nooks and crannies in your engine bay. Took me a while to hoover it all out.

It can be replaced with no foam or you can do as I did and added sticky backed 10mm foil covered foam.

That looks really smart, and I expect it protects the pipe work and helps deaden the noise. I will look into it.
I agree about the old foam bloody stuff gets everywhere

Could I ask where you got it from? Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

If you're going down that route, search on eBay "engine sound absorber". You can buy sheets of the foam and stick it to the engine cover. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Sorry to hijack this thread but has anybody got the sound deadening on the underneath engine tray?
I'm sure I saw some on one of 'Sam's motor and machines' video.

I used similar to this, but 1m wide 1.5 long

I also used aluminium tape to tidy the edges similar to this

As For the under tray mine has nothing in it.
