Thanks Mike - what would this affect in the car ? Phone pairing ? Rear Screen Headphones although I think they are Infra Red on my model ?

Rear screen headphone use the transmitter in the headlining, as you say, infrared.

It only effects the Bluetooth.

Yep, the orange "wire" in the loop is a fibre link bypassing the Bluetooth module since its a common failure.

I seem to remember that someone on this forum used to offer a repair/upgrade service to the BT unit.

It's about £100 for one but 2nd hand Nokia units are c£70! The unit is much more reliable though and was what is fitted in the later Range Rovers and Discoveries. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

Try searching for a Range Rover Sport module, I found mine last year for £50. It was from a 2012 model.

My old Nokia module was also bypassed when I bought my L322. I took it out and it looked fine until I opened it up and it was green inside it.

Yep, Bluetooth units are 100% plug and play and take seconds to swap out.
