You can buy the whole filter housing (with a new cable, and filter) for a relatively sensible price.

That's what I used on mine. I had a faulty sensor, intermittently giving me the water in fuel error. and a yellow restricted performance warning. This solved it permanently. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE |

I bought a fuel filter assembly on ebay for a 3.6 and can confirm the cable is the same just a bit longer £25 |
