Try turning the nozzle completely upside down so that you are pulling the filler lever down towards the ground! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom |

It’s a quirk of the filler neck . Upside down works great |

Weird that didn’t work for you, I found this same thing and the upside down trick works well, although people think I’m mental when they see me do it 😂 2009 (2010 MY) 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography

Maybe the misfuelling protector has deployed….you just can’t see it

My refuelling yellow had been deployed before I bought it and was damaged in the filler? I got a heavy gauge wire and pulled it out, it`s only for the wrong fuel nozzle being put in, had no troble after the removal. |

I had the same problem with my 3.6 when I first got it, when I did the wiring repair in the fuel tank I had to open the inspection panels to the tank under the rear seats. Since I’ve done that I haven’t had any problems refuelling, I just guessed it was air in the tanks that was slowing down refuelling. |

Filled up this afternoon ( mortgage acceptance received ) the fuel pump cut off at first but with it angled at 45degrees to the rear of the car it worked ok and I could gradually increase the flow without it cutting out.

There was a TSB for problems filling the TDV8 with diesel years ago. Our first TDV8 had it done and it cured the problems filling it.
