Do they still have the oil cooler issues on the L405? Sounds like that could be leaking….

Sounds a familiar story to me. Sold my lovely D4 because of the dreaded crank issue and dipped my foot in the L405 world only for it to turn bad

I think so. Would explain why the oil cooler on mine was replaced just before I owned it. What do I put here then? |

Oil cooler is a problem on the 4.4 in the L322, L405 and L494.

A local specialist has diagnosed the problem to be high pressure fuel pump related. |

First thing I did on mine was clear codes and change the battery for a new one. Its like a 'clean start' for a new owner. I appreciate this will not sort mechanical issues but it might just stop you chasing your tail on other warnings.
