Robert are they the only codes? have you scanned each module for codes?
i would scan each of those modules looking for a hard code that begins with somethin other than a U.
the other point is if you can scan each module then they are communicating on the BUS. If you find a module you cannot read then this is the likely culprit.

I have had issues recently got a bunch of U codes HSC, ABS, Special Programs and a couple of others. After changing the battery they kept coming back. scanned each module and the ABS module reported speed sensor rear left. i have a separate post as to what i found but changed the sensor and all codes went to history as soon as i started the car and moved it. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

Thanks for all your help, finally found out what was wrong.

The French "specialist" told me to replace the ABS module (I did n't)

Had to go to Holland en made an appointment with a specialist overthere, according to them
it was my steering angle sensor. That part was not on stock (thank god, 7 hours work...)) So I drove back to France.

After two and a half hour in my car with the GAP tool found out that in the carconfig, the Hitachi pump software and the AMK pump software were active....(Don't ask me how that's possible)
Looked in the rear and I have a Hitachi pump, reflashed the software...and magical...all the faults cleared, the system works and once again the GAP tool proofed it's value. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Thanks Jay.

These cars are just to complicated.
After de tips on here I had a new battery put in (mine was not even a year old) to no effect. OK 300 euro gone with the wind.

I was at 3 so called "specialists", the stealer found the same messages as I had and only talked about replacing height sensor, ABS sensor, HDC module etc...all in all more money as the car is worth.
The specialists "found" a lot of replacement work.
Nobody has obviously taken the time to look into the car configuration.

It took a non tech like myself and a GAP tool and patience to solve it (without any costs)

Isn't it sad. Hope in the UK these specialists are better. Here in France they are complete id....

As I often say: great and beautiful country but the French are like their matches, it takes 3 to lighten a candle.

Thanks to you all!
Regards from a cold and wett South West of France
Robert

How did you end solving the “Special programs off” issue

Hello, I am having the same issue. I have a OBD tool, not the GAP, but I’m hoping I can solve the problem.
Do you happen to remember how did you solve the “Special programs off” issue?
Thank you!
