Air conditioning drier

I understand the air conditioning drier is located within the air con condenser / radiator as tube feature down one side.

With the air con radiator out, I have removed the black cover seal, removed the awkward circlip, pulled out the aluminium bung seal using the M5 thread provided and have pulled out a plastic tube which I would have through was the drier insert. It has holes and features along the length of it.

When looking on line for a new drier, they are all shown as aluminium tubes with 2 ports on the end and nothing like my plastic tube.

I am suitably confused and would welcome advice. 2010 5.0 SC Autobiography Overfinch in Bentley Silk White pearlescent, 22" Overfinch wheels with 285/35x22 tyres
