Are there different generations or versions of the apirelli Scorpion Verde tyre? Or are they all the same?

The OE L405 Verde are LR-specific Verde All Season, the L322 never got them as original equipment. |

Mine has L405 20” wheels so likely they are the OE tyre. Leaning towards the Zero though. Also realise neither have any real off road capability but I’ll live with that. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Yes indeed. Road tyres + terrain response and off road height is probably enough, more than enough….. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

We switched from Verde to Scorpion All Season as they are a newer more modern tyre and IMO are much better in every aspect except lifespan. Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Indeed, as anyone who has been on a LRE day or half day will testify. I go off road, to some degree or another, pretty much every week and it’s only because of the wet weather this winter (mud) that I’ve switched to GG AT3’s. I’ve come close to getting stuck in mud a few times with the Verdre’s, but always made it out. Last edited by LT on 17th Dec 2021 10:46am. Edited 1 time in total |

@ Blackdog - it seems I'm not the only one who can't hear your imaginary/scientific/none existent 4dB difference ? https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic48199.html

So after looking at various options and tyre tests ( The AT3's look particularly poor in wet braking which is a major concern) I'll leave the existing Verdre's on over winter and get some summer SUV orientated tyres in the spring. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Sounds like you've made a wise choice, tyres are always going to be a compromise and all we can do is buy whatever best suits our use & location.
