The EU tyre ratings are useless as a method of comparing between brands because they’re done internally and are not objective.

Grabber AT3s are noticeably worse, subjectively, as a road tyre than what they came with - and the objective test results back that up.

Are there different generations or versions of the apirelli Scorpion Verde tyre? Or are they all the same?

We bought some for the Infiniti and they are first class, we got them from Camskills and then fitted with an Indy.

It comes with Davanti tyres on the front which were awful other than for dry motorway driving and a pair of Bridgestones on the back that had perished to the point the blocks were shearing off. Apart from that the car was ok, but I won’t skimp on tyres.

The OE L405 Verde are LR-specific Verde All Season, the L322 never got them as original equipment.

Mine has L405 20” wheels so likely they are the OE tyre. Leaning towards the Zero though. Also realise neither have any real off road capability but I’ll live with that. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

We switched from Verde to Scorpion All Season as they are a newer more modern tyre and IMO are much better in every aspect except lifespan. Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Previously a 04 MY04 Defender 90 Sad

Indeed, as anyone who has been on a LRE day or half day will testify.

I go off road, to some degree or another, pretty much every week and it’s only because of the wet weather this winter (mud) that I’ve switched to GG AT3’s.

I’ve come close to getting stuck in mud a few times with the Verdre’s, but always made it out.

Your reply has inadvertently proved the point I was making about perceptions of tyre noise, because "you can't argue with science" and you believed that 1 tyre was 4bD noisier that the other you convinced yourself that was the case Rolling with laughter
Someone who thinks tyre noise specs are "science", now that IS unbelievable. GOLPLOBN

So after looking at various options and tyre tests ( The AT3's look particularly poor in wet braking which is a major concern) I'll leave the existing Verdre's on over winter and get some summer SUV orientated tyres in the spring. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Sounds like you've made a wise choice, tyres are always going to be a compromise and all we can do is buy whatever best suits our use & location.
There's nowt like tyres (except perhaps supermarket fuel) to stir up an internet forum Laughing
