All you need is the ID and thickness of teh o ring - you will get one from any engineering supplies company.

Hunting it down now. Ideally Viton rather than Nitrile??? 2014 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography & 2015 3.0SDV6 HSE Lux Discovery 4

Based on a bit of internet research, I would suggest Nitrile over Viton. Nitrile has the lower heat range (up to 120 C) but better resistance to engine coolant fluids than Viton. Close finish though, Viton will probably also do fine. Buy one of both and if the Nitrile fails, switch to the Viton would be my solution Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Thank you. Such a relief to find someone to discuss o-rings with. Not many takers at home for some reason. 2014 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography & 2015 3.0SDV6 HSE Lux Discovery 4

All done. The old o ring was completely shot: damaged from having stuck to the aluminium casting and misshapen from age and heat.

The replacement is 3.5mm cross section and 34.5mm internal diameter.

A five minute job, followed by weeks of bleeding the cooling system, but better than paying £90 for the replacement connector which you have to buy with the two hoses attached.

I hope this helps others.
