tdv8 plastic gearbox sump plug leak

Hi
As stated above have noticed a few days ago oil marks on the drive ,thankfully due to warm dry weather,
anyway upon investigation have found source to be gearbox sump drain plug dripping very slightly,
out came the allen keys and gave it a little tweek ,but its still leaking ,

so my questions are ,does anyone know the torque setting ( as with it only been made of plastic i'm worried about snapping it if I tighten too much ),
I've googled but cant see them for sale on there own or a needed rubber seal if it has 1 ?
Is it a case of a complete new filter pan and oil as they are not sold separate ? ( much prefer metal pans and bolts )
I've spoken to the indy who has cared for the car over the last 5 years of ownership just after I purchased it ,he told me a lot about things that had been done including the gearbox oil and filter ,but didn't tell me when as I didn't ask at the time,
if its been done within say the last 40k is there a way to seal and save £400 for something that don't need replacing ?

Thanks in advance Terry 2007 tdv8 se ,stornaway grey

The drain plug has an O-ring which seals against a ledge in the threaded hole

I don't know if it's still the case but the drain plug used to be available separately from Land Rover - part number TYB 500020 - for £3

Clean all around the hole, get a spotless container and drop the oil, change the plug then put the oil back in....

Don't forget to check you can get the filler off BEFORE you dump the oil... Pete
