Do you have a phone power charger with an LED in it? If you lift up the parcel shelf and plug that in you can easily see for sure by revisiting the car a bit later and peering through the tailgate glass to see if it's still glowing or has gone out.

I bought the battery monitor from the same company who made my cool bov. It has a male socket one one end and a female on the other for 12v appliances, and it has an LED when it has power. I happened to notice it power off at the same time as the dash screen. Shut the car up and locked it, still nomLED, so it ain't gonna run my cooler unless the engine is on really, irrespective of what the manual says.....

Summer's over - You won't be needing that cool box. It's the FBH that you need to be working! 2006 4.2 SC

2010MY onwards the boot socket goes off when the car goes to sleep. However, you have permanent 12v in the OSR cubby in the form of a fat 100a cable going to the front. I just wired mine into that, with appropriate fuse I might add. |

I leave the Engel in there all the time and I've never had a flat battery. And it doesn't get used every day, I have the work hack for that. |

Since we are on the topic and I have an 2008...this socket should work for me as a permanent cooler option.
