United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Dropped off for the brake hoses, and happily managed to tie in with its service & brake fluid change.

Feeling quite excited as I've ordered some new mats to spruce up the inside a bit, and got some of the illuminated tread plates turning up next week. That should keep me busy for the afternoon! Spent a very dangerous day perusing powerful UK's website thinking about their steering wheels and changing the wood trim…..

Over the last week or so I've replaced the metal brake pipes running front to rear and over the rear axle on my TD6. I also replaced the flexible brake hoses both sides at the rear.

I had problems bleeding the brakes and traced it down to one of the new (genuine) brake flexible hoses, it was blocked, I couldn't even blow air through it. That caused a few hours of head scratching as I double checked everything I'd done. Confused

The part was exchanged by the supplier and I now have working brakes. Very Happy

I expect it's a rare occurrence but will be something I check before fitting brake hoses in future, at least make sure air can be blown through.

Today, I was laying under it in a lay by alongside the A30.

Pulling the caravan to Cornwall, we noticed a flapping noise at 60 mph.

All but one brake line under tray fixings were missing and it was dancing under the car.

Had the brake lines replaced last week at the main dealers, what a coincidence!!

Yesterday, went to see Birch motors in Liverpool about having my gearbox rebuilt. As suggested by people on the feedback thread, the place looks like a bomb has hit it, but the staff seem extremely knowledgeable and helpful. £1400 for a full rebuild with new clutches, oil, filter, refurb'd TC and new oil cooler seems very reasonable but it's still going to sting Shocked
Fingers crossed it will all go as smoothly as suggested when I hand it over in a few weeks time for the work to be done!

Today, my sticker came in the post so I joined the "Bottom Right" club Cool
