I changed my front grille - now back to the original look. All of 2 minutes work, and the FF looks so much better for it.

I need to do that sometime, mine works when it feels like it.
Door card off this weekend, see what is (or isn't) happening !

Then it's the other door card off, and dismantle the wobbling mirror housing. My plan was idiot-proof ...

Until someone designed a better idiot

No need to remove the door card, open the door and remove the plastic grommet above the door latch and unscrew the torx bolt. The key-lock assembly then lifts out from the exterior. There is a 4 pointed male end on the key-lock which fits into a corresponding female end of the assembly that is left in situ, you need to ensure this female part is in the correct position.

In operation the key needs to turn 90 degrees left and right so you need to position the female part so that this is possible. I used a long screwdriver to centre the female part then placed the key-lock back in and everything now works as it should

10 minute job and it saves you being locked out your vehicle should the battery fail Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Norway 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Adriatic Blue

Testdrove the RR 2013 today. It drives like nothing else iw trided. Realy nice how it absorbs the icebumbs and uneven roads in Norway. Breaks and stability makes the car feel more than 400kg ligther. The engine sound is realy nice. The seat where not as good as the l322, but iam 197cm and wide.
In Norway the car starts at 154 k Pounds, and thats for the td6 with basic equipment. Add easlty 20k pounds for the extras. Winter tieres costs 9k alone. I must say i do miss the gear stick. Theres no where to rest my hand Laughing

Personaly i think they made the exterior to handsome. I hoped they would build a more off a luxurious English beast with shapes. Now it have lost a bit off its personality. Its more of an well dressed buisness teacher with thin hair.
Anyway what a car. -03V td6
-72 Cadillac Coupe DeVille 7,7liter.

United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

I went to get my Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta's fitted and got told by the guy in the garage my my car was not sitting right for a FFRR and worth getting checked out on a diagnostic machine

So off I went to Land Ranger Stockport who plugged it in and amazingly my car normal ride hieght thought the back was in access mode and the front +39 ! so i was driving a speed boat, no wonder my rear tyre wear was so poor !

£80 later i have been re calibrated and my god ! what a difference, the car does not wallow, it is firm and feels like a once £80k car, access mode is so low i never expected it !

Very Happy !

Malaysia 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Start her up after 2 days not driving it. Asked wifey what's for dinner and she couldnt be bothered to cook. Decided to drive down to McDonald's drive thru counter a few miles away. Nothing much but hey any reason to take her out of the driveway for a good run. Needless to say a smile and feeling of satisfaction after working out the supercharger, lol. 2006 4.2 Supercharged Java Black - loving it every moment behind the wheel even at 14 mpg!

Switzerland 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

^ Nice wheels.

Put the rear seats back in after my UK trip. Put all my purchases away and parked the car in its rightful place - in the garage.

My VX220 has an electrical fault at the moment, and as it's too cold and snowy to use a bike, my FF is the daily transport.

I've done 10k per year in the nearly 3 years I've had it and I like it more now than when I bought it. It's done 110k total miles so should be good for another 4-5 years before it reaches the symbolic 150k. I have no plans to change it at least until then.

Incidentally these are my brimmed mileage figures.

Regular - 27mpg
Empty trailer - 25 mpg
Fully loaded trailer - 21 mpg

That's on a run. All suffer around town.

Took mine back to my favourite local indy to sort out the squeaking that was coming from the rear brakes (they replaced the pads all round in January) as we suspected the rear shoes may need some more copper grease. Was surprised to find that the noise was coming from excess corrosion on the back of the pads which was rubbing on the dust shield.

Expecting to be rinsed for a set or rear disks I was pleasantly surprised that they ground back the corrosion and cleaned out the parking brake linings as well. Even better that they did not charge me for the 30 minutes of remedial work Thumbs Up

"Threw" @ 600kg weight of oak sleepers (4ft ers) in the back to transport home.

I just love the way the car soaks this kind of thing up, then re-adjusts ride height back to where it should be then drives on as if nothing has changed Smile .

I have spent all day on the car. There was nothing wrong as such with it, I just wanted to clean it and do one or two things that were annoying me. I have been round all the rubber and plastic outside cleaning it. Taken bits off to clean behind. Cleaned the engine bay. Cleaned behind door rubbers. Straightened steering wheel, it was just a fraction off since ball joint changed, so adjusted correctly. And it has been hoovered to within an inch of its life. Tyre pressures all checked. Oil levels etc.
I think it's in the best condition it's ever been in since I got it... Very Happy Previously..
