That Viva I mentioned was originally my mum’s and I learned to drive in that when I was about 14, just shuffling about the drive, but sometimes that meant driving up and down the lane when nobody was looking...... |

1974 Bedford HA van. it was a private light goods vehicle test iirc. the difference was using wing mirrors to reverse around corners. you had to pump gas to prime it before it would start |

My 1938 Vauxhall Model J 14hp in 1965. I bought it when I was 16, did my licence test soon after turning 17 (back then we could get a learner’s licence at 16 years and 9 months).

Dad taught me in my first car , old m plate mini, custom paint , big arches , mini lites, what a wonderful POS that was. It was a 60% car, always broke down , looked good doing it though |
