Safari Spot Lights - Any Photos?

Hi all,

On my old Discovery 2 I had a pair of genuine Land Rover Safari Spotlights fitted (per below). I am keen on fitting some of these on my Range Rover. Does anyone have any pictures of how this would look, to help me decide please? I'm struggling to find any pics of RR's fitted with just the spot lights (I don't want the plastic A bar as well).

Cheers

Chris

That looks good weejock.

The lightbars are better I admit but I prefer the styling of spot lamps on a Land Rover, especially those with a lamp guard. Would be good if I could fit LED bulbs though.. 2002 Range Rover Td6 Vogue

Nah. Lamps are still king; bigger the better when it comes to reflector efficiency and beam quality (not that there aren't good light bars still). Choose carefully if you opt for LED - there's a lot of junk about that isn't what it claims to be. LEDs won't match with the optics of a lamp designed for a filament bulb so I suggest you don't attempt a retrofit. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Does anyone know where you can buy spotlight/light at brackets to mount from behind the grill and not have to touch the plastic bumper.
I'm not too fond of trying to make something.

I built a small front bar for lights and protection, it mounts on factory screw holes. Used 11/4" steel pipe, built myself. Im happy with the results. I bent the pipe so it follows the curve of the bumper.
