United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Zermatt Silver
Rear Discs

Hi I just fitted new disc and pads on the rear. The EPB shoes looked ok so I left them as is. After fitting the new discs i tightened up the adjuster till they gripped then backed it off a few clicks till the disc freed up. Is there anything else I need to do or is this it... Have read about a bedding in process but not sure if it applies or how to do it as the Workshop manual I downloaded has a link to to an external site that I cant access.

Thanks all. L322 2007 TDV8 3.6

If you didn't change the EPB shoes, there's no need for the bedding process - which is more for the EPB shoes than the discs Paul,

There is a specific quanity of clicks to back-off I think - probably to ensure the EPB applies the correct tension to the cable.
I can't remember what it was, maybe 5 or 6 - more than I was expecting when I did mine a couple of years ago.
UPDATE : It's actually 8 ! That's why I thought it was a lot !

I replaced the disks and pads earlier this year but not the EPB pads, I did have to go through the palaver of the resetting of the pads for the handbrake. not difficult but does take a bit of time and I don't think doing it in the centre of a city or town works. I did mine on a rural road, it did take about 8 or so goes to get the brakes set, it did pass an MOT so I must have done something right.

There is a good how to video on You Tube from Powerful UK Ltd - Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4 bedding in rear handbrake shoes EPB. It is for a Disco 4, but the sytem and procedure is the same for L322's.
