Front to rear break pipes

So sadly my 2006 RR. has failed it’s mot on front to rear break pipes ☹️

Can anyone give me a idea how long a Landrover indie should take to replace them so I’m for armed/warned
And a rough cost of parts
Cheers

What are you going to ask your to do sir? Replace like for like? Or make replacements in copper?

Copper will be more time consuming to make whereas JLR parts will require a greater strip down and therefore more work to fit!

FYI there are factory joins just behind the NSF wheel splash shield... Thumbs Up

4 hours labour at most for a decent garage to tackle this (probably less if they've done it before) + £10's worth of Cunifer pipe. If rear flexi's are replaced at the same time, then another £40 at best (if they use non genuine), so all up I'd be happy to pay an indy around £300 for this job.

Pretty sure I paid £280 ish in January. Mine had actually split though, so pedal went soft. Went down further which stuffed the seals in the master cylinder. Needed a new one of those, so total Bill about £669.

Get them changed before they split.....

Sounds like a great price. It'd be worth them doing the rear flexi hoses (which are part flexi and part steel which corrodes) at the same time if they arent already.

Should then give you many years trouble free from rear brake pipe issues.

If you intend to keep the car, I would replace the flexis with braided stainless steel ones. Will last forever then. Did this on my D3 when I replaced the brakes all round (discs, pads and callipers)

I’m going let OFG check it out and see what they recommend then let them go for it !!
Probably going to keep it for 18mth to 2 years till my son finishes university then go for a lot newer RR don’t think I can stretch to a L405 so the last of the L322s
