I just don’t remember seeing one on mine, but it’s a while since I was underneath and I can’t see it mentioned in the WM.

I should have looked-up the O-ring size before posting - BS611 Viton (2 required).

Mike.

It does look “after market” as it’s much rustier than everything else (despite being coated in 15w30!)

And it’s a weird shape being so rectangular and seems to have been welded on - makes me think it’s something that they don’t want to make easy to remove (like a Tracker).

I’m wanting the car back even more now, so I can solve the mystery Smile

Have actually got some in the post already as I’d read the forum thread and figured they were worth having in the garage ready! Smile

Tracker or key safe??
Having no engine undertray covers shouts to me that someone has inspected it for an oil leak before....
Advanced Factors sell them. I bought a new one as I couldn't be arsed cleaning my oiled one off.
New gaskets and O rings needed (my guy changed the whole cooler unit to save time) plus multiple flushes of coolant Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

It's done 83k, so I'm guessing it's probably been through a gasket before looking at the age/mileage people on the main oil cooler leaks thread were mentioning!

if you suspect the leak has been there for a while, then definitely have them check the EGR. Mine threw in the towel after 75k RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - 11

Interesting, you also have that odd little rectangular box, so it's presumably a standard thing! Smile

And wow, I feel better about the tiny amount of oil in the coolant on mine now, you looked to be practically running oil instead of coolant Smile

I’m thinking its a harmonic balancer to take vibration out the subframe. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
