No problem - with mine it was something on Fuse #27 not allowing the car to go to sleep/shut down completely.

I simply put an ignition fed relay into the circuit as a temporary fix (which I suspect will be permanent). 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Make sure something obvious like the leads are tight to the terminals, battery on mine drained regularly, just couldn’t get leads tight , bit of copper wire sorted it, that was five years ago, still going strong.

My experience had several points to it over a 7 month timescale. When I bought it the battery light would come on, flickering mainly when on runs in the first week of ownership, culminating in a recovery home on the back of a AA lorry when it died completely on the M6.
Subsequent investigation showed the alternator had failed and allegedly an issue with the Fuel Burning Heater so a new alternator was fitted and the FBH disconnected together with a new battery. This lasted 3-4 months with regular use but would need charging after anything longer than 8-10 days parked up which happened as we went in to lockdown in March of this year.
I bought a CTEK to see if that would help but I ended up with it on permanent trickle charge or full recovery after a flattening. I got an auto electrician to look at it in June and armed him with the infor I'd pulled from this great site. After about 45 mins, he fount it to be the front headlight wipers, one of which has never worked and was permanently parked with the wiper blade below the headlight. Pulling this fuse meant sleeping draw was down to the number quoted in some of the posts but way way below what it was with the headlight wipers fused. To cut a long story short, after this was sorted, continued lack of use and repeated failing to start when off charge meant I replaced the battery after only 8 months but probably 10 occasions where the voltage had been allowed to drop to 10-11.
Its been 4 weeks now since I did that and the girl is doing fine and seems to be back as good as new. I do intend to replace the duff wiper motor though and see if the current good conduct continues without killing this battery. 2004 Vogue SE TD6
