If you have stop / start enabled and it activates when you stop, if you remove your seatbelt the ignition will auto shut off, gearbox goes to P if you open the door |

My understanding (experience) is that Start/Stop does not need to have stopped the engine (but it needs to be switched on). If the car is put into Park, and the hand brake applied, then he drivers seat belt unlatched then the engine will switch off.

Yes disabling stop/start will prevent this happening. BMW X3 30e XDrive M Sport
