That is really poor skills and drills. The "principal's" car is completely sandwiched and unable to move - perfect for a second attacker to approach with a suicide bomb or other.

You're right - watching it again - it's the bike that stops as people approach him - that causes the Jag to pull up sharply but the first RR fails to notice. |

It's such a shame to see a frankly laughable lapse in security, where the hell is the training?

actually Greg it's far more likely that the greatest threat comes from non-state actors . |

That XJ is fully armoured. Look how low it sits and look at the window apertures. Mrs May had it from when she was Home Secretary. I once made the mistake of taking a car nerds interest in it when parked outside somewhere she was speaking. A very polite armed copper told me to do one. |

Can't say I've ever seen an armoured xj in the car park when I was there. |

I'm not sure how obvious they are, but lots of places seem to say the PM's car is an XJ Sentinel.... |

I was referring to it behind TMs car when she was Home Secretary. |

It’s hard to understand why we waste this level of security on an individual like Boris Johnson |

It’s the holder of the office that gets the security, no matter the personal character of the incumbent. |

Shortly after it was launched, TM was photographed next to a new XJ outside Downing Street, with the caption making the point that it was being loaned to the Govt car pool to test suitability. She did also use a 7 series, as did other ministers, which to a West Midlander like me was annoying... |
