Well the car is a keeper and I'm getting to old to crawl about under and over it so one last effort to get it all sorted. That is until tonight when my torque wrench expired!! Alternator and water pump done today and the CSOV mod tomorrow.

This is what I bought to eradicate any water leaks at the thermostat housing because I understand you can't get the seal separately.
If you look closely I thought the white ring in the end was the seal but it is in fact hard plastic!,
There is a rubber seal further back which to be honest doesn't look special compared to say the intercooler hose.
So an expensive purchase but at least I now have fresh hoses along with new water pump, pulleys, belts, alternator and coolant.

Thanks Nick,
I've ordered the complete hose assembly and it's coming Friday fingers crossed.

Hi Kevin, mind sharing where you purchased your hose from?

My car been stationary a whole month waiting for the part, no stock in SA and waiting for import from UK might take another month through LR. 2011 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Hi Deejay,
I got it from my local Indy, Roean Telford. 01952 615546.
Total cost £273.10.
They got it within 2 days mate so I would have thought other Independents could supply it unless I was lucky.
Part number is LR022661 Hose assy.
Good luck.

when you fit those hoses, you leave the clip in the closed position, and coat the surfaces with a small amount of Vaseline, and slide them on, and wait for the click. without the vasalene, they sometimes don't fully seat... -mine didn't, and the next day, it popped off! (this was on a different fatty, but same principle.)

Anyone know of stock for this part (LR022661) my garage (More 4x4 Kingsley) tell me LR have them on back order but that could take a long time? Need a new one (they won’t fit second hand parts) to be fitted asap….

Depending on what part has broken it can also be repaired like I had to.

You may not have any choice as there is no way of knowing when they will stock this part again. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Thanks for the tip. I found the part with Nene Overland Peterborough this morning - it has been sitting on a shelf since 2018 so hope it's OK when it arrives.

A lubricant works wonders when refitting hoses, especially in tight places. However, Vaseline can degrade rubber, so best to raid the bedroom drawer for some water-based or silicone based lubricant to line the hose fittings with. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
