Distant helicopter perhaps. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!! |

A calliper stuck/sticking! Drive it a while then put your hand on each wheel and see if one is much hotter than the others? 👍 |

Make sure to take the Caliper carrier off the car and thoroughly clean with a wire brush/grinder brush wheel if possible. They rust which makes the pass stick in them. Sometimes it’s the pads sticking in the carrier rather than the Caliper itself. Worth trying as it’s a free fix if it works.

I removed the carrier and calliper and cleaned as you suggested.

When you refit the pads make sure the just pop in nicely. You shouldn’t have to force them in at all. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

All back together now. What a #£&*@+ of a job it is to replace the handbrake shoes!

Stu, how many times did you swear when trying to engage the top spring back in both shoes? 😂
