Bolt head size is 5.5mm and it is the standard size for the thread....and the thread size is dictated by the hole in the rivet on the gear level assembly unfortunately. I originally used a button head/socket cap bolt but changed to hex when I lost the second allen key into the depths! Sorry this is causing some bother. I'll see if there is another bolt standard we can use for future kits.

I only have a basic halfrauds socket set I didn't have any issues matching the correct socket needed to install the nut and bolt honestly the kit is purfect as is

I was watching this video at midnight last night and agree Gsxr1250dave, it didnt come across about how they can be used when in drive to knock the box down a gear ready to overtake or when leaving a roundabout for a little bit of extra go and not just relying on box kicking down. |
