THat's what I thought. I think the owner has switched them off and the dealers missed them as they were probably added later rather than as part of the build (they're not listed on topix - but then neither are the ones on the other car).

I would be a little cagey in what you do as if the dealer finds them during PDI for example, they might just disappear |

If you get pictures of the interior - there should also be a button down by the drivers right knee

I've had my car a few months now (2014 SC AB) and the deployable steps have been nothing but trouble. They have a mind of their own. The problem is intermittent so 2 trips to the dealer and they haven't figured out what the problem is.

A "PDI"........what a wicked sense of humour you have CTC. Next you'll be suggesting they will actually carry out their "165 point inspection"! If they missed a set of deployable steps, then that does not bode well for any other work that needs done. Mike |

If you can get the VIN then you can look at the build sheet & see if they were on there from new.

Actually the post above just reminded me...the car is in again for them to look at it and they said to me the steps aren’t covered under warranty as they are considered an accessory. I don’t know if the steps were on the car from the factory. |

Looks like I could be wrong on that - mine lists the deployable tow bar but not the steps - so they may be a dealer fit accessory rather than factory option..... |
