If it's rain/spray on the lens you could put some "Rainex" or similar on it to help a little. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6 |

the camera does get 'dirty' due the position it is in ....i know of a member who regularly wipes the lens when he walks past .. ... - .- -.

That's right, it quickly gets mucky being quite exposed. A quick wipe with a tissue makes a big difference. |
