Anyone know the chassis range for the L494 please? Got this exact issue with a recently purchased SVR that throws the amber warning and locks out the height adjust, diagnosed as a blocked silencer |

That is an issue with the air dryer allowing moisture to pass through the system and clog up the exhaust. Remove the silencer and replace the drying material, replace the silencer. I haven't looked at the compressor on my 405 yet, but this was the process on the l322. Replacing the entire compressor may not be necessary. |

Do you have any instructions please, which bit is the air dryer, the bung in the line? |

I've always thought the ride quality in my L405 is nothing better (indeed probably worse) than your average car. Never had any suspension warnings crop up, and the strange thing is, at times I think it rides reasonably well, but other times every pothole and drain cover I drive over is a major obstacle. I'm on 22 inch wheels which doesn't help, none the less it ought to be better than it is. Any thoughts ? |

I have not looked at the l405 setup, but on the l322 it was a canister fit to the side of the compressor... it removes moisture being drawn into the system and again before air is vented to atmosphere. When it begins to fail it'll allow moisture into the system resulting in the vent spitting liquid and then eventually clogging to the point suspension commands to lower fault. Again... not sure how it is exactly setup on the l405 but it cannot be too much different. There still must be an air dryer and exhaust somewhere on the compressor unit. |

That is because of the 22" wheels, they have no business being on an suv. If you drop down to a 20 it'll ride more like a range rover should. |

I suspect you're right. My previous 322 was a much smoother ride on smaller wheels. Bought the 405 with the 22's so maybe a change is the solution. I ought to drive some different combinations to see. |

My 405 with 20's rides better than my l322 did with 20's. I never put 22's on the l322 but I'd imagine it'd ride like crap with them. |
