Rear dog guard info (was needed, now for reference)

Hi all,
I've discovered the retractable dog guard mounts for a car without reclining seats are different.

I'm therefore after a parts diagram, or part numbers for the mounts.

Cheers
John. Too many toys, not enough time

ok, so no replies, lets try a different approach Wink

Are there any owners out there with reclining rear seats that also have the retractable cargo net / dog guard fitted ?

I've paid the dealer a trip, and they gave me the part numbers, but these look exactly the same as those for non reclining seats, which are different (I will post some pics in a minute) Too many toys, not enough time

This is the standard cover. Note the cut out at the front corner to allow the seat to recline

The non reclining cover

And the metal fixing. Note the retainer is further back as the reclining seat load cover has a flappy bit at the front, so pivot is further back.

Worst case I simply cant fit it, just need to confirm one way or the other. Too many toys, not enough time

okay, scrap that, I think I've proven to myself its not possible.

I happened on this site :
https://allbrit.de/epc.cfm?PAGE=5010535A&a...E=EN#46506

which gives all parts lists on line.
The above link shows details for side bits and load tray for seats with recliner (which are clearly made of solid gold based on the price Rolling Eyes ), but there are no alternate bits listed for the load retention net Crying or Very sad Too many toys, not enough time

Yeah.... I’d say the luggage net isn’t compatible with the reclining seats. Even if you moved the bottom mounts to work, the top mounts in the roof would then not line up....

I had a bit more time to look at this today.
With the seats reclined they clear the cargo net.

Also the metal brackets can be clearanced to fit properly.

That just leaves the plastic cover.

I am going to have a go at doctoring them if I can get a spare set. Too many toys, not enough time

Hi John

Good work watching this with interest as I pick my 2012 AB up on Sunday with reclining rear seats.

Be good to know if you manage to fit the cargo net.

Regards
Alan

Thanks Alan.
Good luck with the new car Thumbs Up

Cutting the alloy Base back to clear the spring bracket is simple enough.
Modifying the plastic covers is a bit more tricky, if it's to still look presentable.

My parcel shelf is ivory, but the seats are black at the top, so a black net casing doesn't look out of place.

The plastic covers come in black, parchment, sand and ivory (maybe other colours too)
The net casing is also in different colours. I've seen sand, ivory and black.

The alloy brackets are ~£16 each new, and the plastic covers for them are ~£40 new

Thanks for the info John.

I'll have to look when I get the car and then see if I can find a s/h cargo net.

There are loads of nets for sale on the bay, in varying colours and conditions. Most don't come with the mounting bits though.
FYI a new net is in the order of 180 quid. Too many toys, not enough time
