Can’t be sure about yours but my 2011 4.4 started going into limp home mode when my sender unit failed showing zero even when half full |

The resistor trick does work. I got 2 variable resistors (one for each sender). They were less than £1 each at Maplins at the time then tweaked them to get a reading on the gauge just so that I could run the tank down before doing the repair. It worked that well that I ended up using the car like that until the weather improved. |
