United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Zermatt Silver

I have a Discovery 3 for when the Fullfat "throws a sickie".

Out of the two, I still prefer driving the TD6 and drive it most days. When not required the Discovery does the shopping run once a week to keep it exercised.

And, if they both fail I have an MG ZT, Ford Cortina, Defender and if all the above fail, a bicycle. Luckily I haven't had to resort to the bike for the 10 mile commute, yet!

Well, hows this for a back up plan. I have a spare L405, Discovery 4 if they go both wrong, Bentley GT if the L405s and Disco goes wrong, and an Aston in all else fails, but by that time that will probably have a flat battery!! Rolling with laughter Oh and forgot i have an old London Cab just for fun as its a good little workhorse that i dont mind the odd scratch on and hauling the dogs around in. Thumbs Up

I own 8 cars and 7 of those are road-legal.

SC, 110, E55, Jaguar, little Ford, big old Ford, Series III and my motorhome. Si. <This is my name.

Saving the pennies!

My ff 4.4 v8 is a weekend car, I probably only do approx 5k a year anyway. I like fiddling with motors and have a Volvo T5 as my daily load lugger, wife has Pug estate as she finds it more practical being a Teacher than her old tin top convertible. We also have a New Beetle as a back up for the back up! Daughter is getting to that age so she may inherit the Beetle? Run a few classics when the sun comes out..

Same here, my L322 is my main car rather than backup.
Wife drives a nearly new RR Sport, and we (well ok I Laughing ) have 3 other cars that come out occasionally, plus a van. And a grey fergie tractor if it counts Laughing (it is road registered)

As for the motorbike count, we best not go there Embarassed Whistle Too many toys, not enough time

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Of the 5 Range Rovers I've now had the pleasure of paying the bills for... 4 have been secondary or spare cars etc. I've had a company van or pickup for the last 11 years which has fulfilled my "getting to work" problem. Currently that is a 2019 Nissan Navara and whilst utilitarian in many ways they are not a bad thing, I had a 2016 one which was very similar and did 103k in less than 3 years in it.

I bought my first P38 on a whim, as a bit of a winter hack, and to try and keep my then E39 M5 out of the worst of the salt/away from mundane journeys etc.

Another P38 followed which was rather nice, a Vogue I also had my BMW 650i at the time.

At that point I then swapped around and had the 2007 Supercharged as my "nice car" and a cheap 330ci as a track car before selling both to buy the E60 M5 I still have. Dropping to 3 vehicle in total for a while.

Of course it wasnt long, 6 months or so, before I managed to argue a case for another Range Rover, where the 2002 HSE came from.

Although we didn't really get on, I swapped it for an X5 which again wasnt a bad car but felt like a poor relation to the FF (not far from the truth). I sold it at the end of summer and freed from the burden of this "4th" vehicle for 3 months suddenly a few weeks ago I found my self knealing in the muck looking for oil leaks underneath another L322, a 2004 Vogue this time. Sigh!

So currently we have my partners 2011 F11 520d Touring, my 2005 E60 M5, the 2004 4.4 Vogue and my 2019 Navara Tekna. Naturally I'm incredibly popular on the street....! 2005 E60 M5

I have 4 cars "on the road" inc. the FFRR for my wife and I and my daughter when she comes home. Although she currently has a company car anyway.

I'm meant to be using the other cars more to keep the mileage down on the FFRR. Mmm.

I used to have one car for work and one for play Thumbs Up

Then when I got my first Freelander 2, I realised that it was the only car out of the two that I wanted to drive Shocked I’m on my 6th LR product now and they’ve all been my only car at the time, despite being utterly dependent on it for work and doing about 3,000 miles a month.

Mine’s just passed 26 1/2 months & 72,700 miles and it doesn’t give me any reason to have to run a back up; it just works, every day Thumbs Up (and I don’t believe in fate 😉)
