You can turn it off at the phone. |

Thanks. Rather than going through the iPhone menu to deselect car play whilst driving, I was wondering how to stop car play running on screen and returning to the FFRR home screen in order to utilise another source. |

I did briefly try that today, asking it to play the radio, but it didn’t dislodge car play. I’ll try it again tomorrow with some other commands.

This should be selectable in the settings menu, under "Connectivity" > "Apple Device Settings" |

I did try this as a similar suggestion was posted on a merc forum. What then occurs, unless I’ve done this incorrectly, is that it requests you to plug in a suitable Apple device, which I did - the iPhone - and then car play loads up but then bar unplugging it there are no changes that can be done .

From the CarPlay home screen the Landrover icon should take you back to the 'normal' InControl home screen.

Perfect thanks. Never occurred to me that the LR button would return the home screen. |

I'm thinking of changing my phone as I find Apple Carplay is so unstable.

Apple CarPlay is actaully much better than Android Auto. The phone is not the issue, it's the software. The software on your iPhone might need to be updated along with updating the CarPlay app that's on your infotainment screen. I'm using CarPlay on an aftermarket Android unit and it's working great. However, there were a few software updates that had to be made before it was stable. Ray

Latest updates to Apple CarPlay have made quite a difference. It works every time now and actually looks pretty good on the screen. I can’t see sat nav directions on the HUD but I even hear that that is coming soon. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |

Yes, the new layout is excellent with all the artwork for Apple Music and the opening screen is very good. Took me a while to figure out how to get back to the music track playing after scrolling through the Library etc though!! All LR cars from 1984
