Sorry Greg , yes , it felt like it was a fuel problem ( maybe gearbox as it was hesitating then going again then hesitating) then restricted perfromance but the juddering stop and engine was smooth but lack power and response. 2015 4.4 AB

Quick google and it mentions cracked inket manifold or dodgy actuator. Isn't there a regular issue with the inlet manifolds on a 4.4 tdv8? 2015 4.4 AB

Greg,
Could you be joining me in having a stuck CSOV ?, mine was well and truly stuck and immediately dropped into restricted performance when I put my foot down. It was replaced with the modified valve under warranty.
I have got the relevant maintenance bulletin if you need to read it.

Good news relatively easy to change.

Thanks chaps. Out n about so grateful for all the info!

Yes Mike that’s certainly what it seems from the manual.
Yes pls if you could share the TSB

This is how I got the ‘hidden’ code thanks to Pat;

Quote:
Normally, if you don't shut the engine down and you read faults with the proper files, it will show up. Menu--Faults--Advanced, select Confirmed and Pendings.

Illl make a separate post about this later, will be handy to many I’m sure.

. Cheers, Greg

Greg

I have't had Mike's CSOV fault (yet) but I did have a kangaroo moment for a while which went into restricted performance and smoothed out.

This turned out to be the throttle body hunting and giving the problem. I found that by listening to the engine bay on shutdown and hearing a cyclic noise coming from the throttle body. Replaced and fixed at about 20 minutes and £100 from Dan. I can't seem to find if I posted anything about it at the moment as my PC went AWOL last week so I'm still trying to rebuild my GAP files.

Hope this helps. Cheers
Richard

Ah yes now I remember Richard, thanks for the reminder.
Yes sounds similar. Throttle body sounds not too expensive either.
I've got several areas to investigate now, thanks all! Thumbs Up

Certainly on error codes, given I have just the P1247-00 and no other, my first stop will be the change over valve.

Mike when you get a sec could please send me the TSB I'll check that out.

You never know, maybe I'll get lucky and free up the CSOV with a spray of oil?
Wishful thinking I know.
. Cheers, Greg

Also John, I checked the small loom and the L322 4.4TDV8 does indeed have the exact same connectors, loom and set up as your L405 SDV8.

Before I got my P1247-00 code I inspected the cable under the conduit as listed in your TSB. All looked ok visually but I will pause on that and next look at the CSVO.

Just wanted to let anyone reading this that the L322 has the same set up. Certainly worth a look if you get the same P0088-17(6C) code as John (Dolph34)

. Cheers, Greg

Welcome, no problem.
Firstly you will need to check if it is still the original design with the nut.
It is possible to see looking down between engine and front, but much easier if you take the underskirt off and look up from underneath.

I believe the issue with the wiring is a part problem Greg , when mine was replaced , the old ( original ) part look fine with no obvious issues. Hopefully yours is an easy fix and inexpensive Thumbs Up 2015 4.4 AB
