Hi everyone,
I'm in the market for a FFRR Vogue (SE), probably an early TDV8.
I'd like to find out whether people on here had a PPI done before they purchased their car?
I understand that if the vehicle is less than 5 years old and has done less than 75K then you can get a LR Approved Warranty, subject to an inspection fee of £75? Is this warranty worth the money?
The LR PPI fee seems good value, especially if it can uncover minor as well as major problems. I guess it would be in the LR dealer's interests if they could uncover as many problems as possible so as to either exclude certain items from the warranty cover, or include them, but only if the car was corrected to the appropriate standard beforehand. That would also be in the interests of the buyer in order to find the right car, or use it as a bargaining tool before purchase.
What then if the car for sale already has the remainder of a LR warranty on it? Is it transferable? Is it worth getting an independent PPI? If so, who would you recommend in the Yorkshire area?
Thanks in advance for any useful tips.
