Spec difference between SE and Vogue

Without going into every last nut and gromet, what would be the main differences between the SE and Vogue on a 2006 MY? I can see the seats look a little different, but notice there is a touch screen.

Thanks gents. Thumbs Up

All Vogue/VSE have the touch screen from the 06 year.

Are you talking about a plain SE?

The spec goes:

SE
HSE
Vogue
Vogue SE
Autobiography

The SE is popverty spec - missing various tech, comfort options, styling nicities, has Halogen rather than Xenon lights and parking sensors were optional. Oh and doesnt even have heated seats Shocked

Frankly I'm suprised one doesnt have to wind ones own windows!

I always forget about the SE and assume it's the Vogue SE.

Do people still buy those? Laughing
I'd avoid them and get a Vogue personally.

I've only ever seen one... Maybe they have a rarity value?

Laughing I do like unique things, but they have to be unique in a good way, not because they're Censored !

Ok more than I thought then, I'll stick with the Vogue.

Wasn't aware anyone said that Tim.
Personally if buying a 2nd hand FFRR, I'd go for the Vogue.
Little cost difference and plenty about. Can't see the point in the SE on the 2nd hand market myself.

Agreed best to stick to Vogue or Vogue SE/Autobiography for easy re-sale Thumbs Up

Buying a used Vogue or a later VSE is fine if you are happy to have quite a few parts that are becoming obsolete/ hard to get and were not exactly hugely reliable when new. The SE is probably a better prospect for the person who (and lets face it at this price level most will be) doing their own maintenance/ repairs and don't want the complexity of the nice extras of the higher spec cars.

My SE came with heated front and rear seats as standard in 2003 - it wanted for nothing and was as comfortable as any other L322.

And yes it wasn't the best buying decision I ever made but in 2003 it was the only new L322 I could afford, I lost a fortune on it when I traded it. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

I have an SE. Why? Because I got a helluva deal on it. That is why I know know all about retrofitting all sorts of options

The retrofitting bit is sorta a hobby for me anyway.

I wouldn't have ordered an SE new and I certainly would've taken a Vogue over an SE at a similar price, but when buying used there is always much more to consider than just the options. Good into an SE is better than bad into a Vogue as far as I'm concerned. And we don't have quite the selection on the mainland that y'all enjoy.
RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr,
P38, and 2 L322s
(wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too)

I beg to differ on every point there.

Most parts are BMW so are plentiful in supply, there is lots of info out there already from the BMW side of things. Plus all parts can still be bought from the main dealer - much like a 2011 car. So really, not such a headache parts.

And as for reliability, well the tech inside the car is one of the few things on mine I've not had issues with (touch wood!)

As per Steve, buy the car you want - with the CAVEAT of: pay appropriately. Don't pay Vogue money for an SE as others have.
