it depends on how you drive..someone might get 30/32 from a 4.4 whilst someone else less..

So far my 3.6 with mainly local journeys around 32ish, better on a motorway run and even around town 20%+ better than the Discovery 3 the RR has replaced. |

I’m running both and the 4.4 is definitely a good 10% better than the 3.6 but the 4.4 tends to get used on longer journeys. I rarely take any notice of MPG as I believe it is completely irrelevant in terms of running costs, even if my 4.4 was doing 50mpg it would still cost more to run as it is still depreciating rapidly but my 3.6 has virtually stopped. |

I came to fatty ownership from a Touareg and have just had the pleasure of towing my 2 tonne caravan for the first time. It used less fuel than my Touareg 32 mog plus around town and an amazing 25.2 mpg towing. There’s something special about doing the legal limit with the 2 tonne van on its back at a leisurely 1200 rpm. I can’t speak for the 3.6, I was advised the 4.4 was superior in many ways and I feel this was good advice. If you go the 4.4 route make sure the turbo drain mod has been done or budget £1000 or so to get it done. BMW i3 Electric Car

I guess you'll be put off by a SC then, whether 4.2 or 5.0 |
