I would expect warped disc or seized calliper before wheel bearing because you're likely to hear it rumble if that went.

Happened to my Classic many years ago, i ended up throwing a bucket of water over it thinking it was going to burst into flames, then with cold chisel and club hammer freed off the caliper, ah those were the days |

After changing disks and pads my near side rear got very hot I changed the caliper and all ok now The worst thing about being retired is you miss out on all the bank holidays |

Another vote for a sticky caliper - fairly common problem - when mine went I got refurb units from Dan@Duckworths and a local guy to fit

Am not sure wether to laugh or cry when so many people want to rush out and buy a new caliper because it is sticking a little.Half the time it is tight pads and most calipers will be free with a little penetrating spray behind the rubber,i have even had totally seized rusted calipers work fine on old cars before today .You can even go and buy a new piston kit before a new caliper,it really is rarely necessary unless you like spending money. |

this is true they can be freed off, and quite often it is just the pads, as it seems to be a quirk of the TRW caliper that they do stick in the holder sometimes, however a refurbished rear TRW caliper for a 3.6 isn't massive money, and is a good way to go for peace of mind, I've had sticking callipers on both sides of my 3.6 both times at inopportune moments while away, IIRC they were about £70 from my local factors (not ecp), and meant i didn't have to think about it again, it is possible to refurb them as well but i figured by the time i had taken it of, cleaned it up, bought the refurb kit and put it back on again, i might as well have got a refurbished one. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Had mine replaced last week , 32 stg for part with 7 stg for new sliding pins. Not worth the effort of freeing out in my humble opinion. Mine was passenger rear. 2015 4.4 AB

Thanks guys and possibly gals. stripped it down at the weekend. caliper was sticking. Cleaned it all up appeared to work correctly tested it 20-30 times and it was fine. final check before reassembly and it had seized again. new one being fitted tomorrow. |

IF I have Brembo front calipers I believe, as they have Brembo written on them, does it follow the rears will be too in my 2007 tdv8 3.6? 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

I had offside caliper failure on both the 2007 and 2011 , 2007 was about 30 quid , the 2011 was about 170quid !!! I couldn't afford one for a 2019 2015 4.4 AB
