You cannot edit poll wording but I have edited the post. I am sure you get the gist answer yes as you have the problem.

Not had the mod. Had a smoke issue but cured by going over 2500 rpm at least once each drive.

So not planning on the mod. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Mine had the mod done preemptively when purchased s/h so I don't know if it smoked before but it does not smoke now. I can't decide if that's a yes or no vote.

My car has not been modded, and doesn't smoke.

It gets revved above 2k regularly, and above 2k5 a couple of times on my commute. Too many toys, not enough time

mine didnt smoke as the DPF caught it all but it needed the drain mod as it was using oil.

if i stayed around 2k rpm or less it didnt use oil, if i pushed on a bit it would. drain mod fixed it.

problem also caused dpf to fill quickly, not helped by leak between the two dpf sensors so it had even more soot in it than it thought. had leak fixed and drain mod done

took quite a few long dpf burn off conditions to reduce the soot grams (hawkeye reading) in the dpf but its recovered and has been ok for last 12mths on it. (touching wood) Cheers

James

I have voted "yes", mine has been in and out of the garage for about 2 years, it has had the mod, the drain, pipes replaced, oil cooler replaced and some gasket thing. The smoke appears to have reduced considerably but the smell is still there especially if you have your foot down. Will let you know when it goes back in shortly. I need more help than most...sorry !!

No mod on mine , no smoke , no oil used and driven gently 90% of the time. It does get a redline blast every so often and a reasonably high speed run as well. 2015 4.4 AB

My 2012 WM didn't have the mod, but didn't smoke in the 50,000 miles odd I had it, I think due to hardly any town driving and over 2,500 rpm most journeys. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Same as John W for me. Don't get any smoke, doesn't use any oil from what i can tell (only when leaks start Crying or Very sad ), but it does go up to 2/2.5k every day with good motorway runs at weekends.

Had ours from October17, no sign of mod. Used in waft mode mostly (no visible smoke) with 2.5k rpm now regular. Smokes initially at that but soon clears.

One yellow DPF in February, cleared in 5 miles at 55mph and one line of oil used on the dipstick in 7K miles to date. Have a recurring restricted performance in the last week AFTER deciding to buy a Gap tool!!

MOT next month Exclamation Cheers
