Several Questions

Morning All
All input appreciated

Firstly I went outside yesterday, and thought the rear passenger side tyre looked a little low, so I thought ide match the pressure with the other wheel, I was staggered Shocked the gauge on my pump read approx. 56 PSI is that correct? checked another that was approx. 62 PSI, couldn't get the dust cap off the valve from front passenger side, I'm used to the 34-36 range, is the pressure that high because she weighs 2.5 tons? anyway whilst on the subject, I knew the spare was flat, so thought I'll pump that up as well (bleeding heavy arnt they Shocked ) the tyre stated 51 PSI max but it looks like its a cheapy make as do all the others by the way.

While it was out of the well, I took the following pictures, is the big black thing the compressor? as does anyone know what the wiring is/belongs to? one of them looks like a standard co-ax connector

Tyre pressures are way too high - are you sure your gauge is accurate ?

What size tyres have you got ?

Yes - big black thing is the compressor for the suspension

Tyre pressures should be on a sticker in the drivers door jamb.

I think - pls check though - 35 psi plus or minus is around normal.

. Cheers, Greg

Not a standard tyre size, but would expect about the same as the L405 on 22’s - this is what mine says -

thanks again Alistair Thumbs Up

that is a huge difference from what my pump gauge says, I can only presume the gauge is out (massively) she is not jittery or bouncing around the road or such things, so I think the next opportunity to get to a petrol station and try their air pumps will be quite interesting

I will update when that happens.

any ideas by the way on the cables in the boot? 2003 Vogue 4.4 petrol, silver 126k on clock when I got her

Cables are for the compressor, the coax looking cable I would guess are the airpipes about 6mm from recollection Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

How long has your car been sat before you tested them? If they’re hot then the pressure will be higher

Did you figure out how to use the spare wheel strap - tuck it in the top of the lower tailgate and open Thumbs Up .
