Gents we were due to go to Bordeaux this coming week but due to other stuff we now find we only have 5 days so I am thinking maybe we visit The North or anywhere drivable in sat 6 hrs pref less - any ideas |

We were originally going back down house hunting and would postpone the trip but I have a ticket to use by end of September and SWMBO is back at work on the 10th and I know have to work this weekend so we dont have enough time really to drive to Bordeaux thanks for the pointers |

Le Touque is less than an hour from Calais and the beaches are good and the town full of good shops.

Probably head to Champagne area as my sister lives in Pas de Calais and over the years have visited a lot of the west beaches with the kids when they were young we seemed to go from that to the south and haven't really visited around the Champagne region just driven through it at sill KPH |

Sandy, in 6 hrs on Saturday you could possibly get as far as Carlisle, that is almost 'The North' ![]() |

I agree with BB try the Belgian/Dutch Beach towns easy to get to and lots to do. Good holiday atmosphere. |
