Le Touque is less than an hour from Calais and the beaches are good and the town full of good shops.

Probably head to Champagne area as my sister lives in Pas de Calais and over the years have visited a lot of the west beaches with the kids when they were young we seemed to go from that to the south and haven't really visited around the Champagne region just driven through it at sill KPH Rolling Eyes

There was a great Adventure Trip in Land Rover Owner Magazine not long ago with plenty of open tracks near Calais, then another Adventure in the Champagne region, with.. plenty of wine testing - and tracks too Wink l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Depends on what you like doing.
Epernay has most of the main champagne houses.
Auxerre region is nice (town is not so special imo), and if you like wine Chablis just east of it is definitely worth a visit. Some nice cheap nouses for sale in this region too Wink
If you like buildings Fontainebleau is worth a look.
Also, consider the fort at sedan (assuming your staying in hotels). Very nice, and lots of things local if your into ww1 & 2 history.

Hope that helps, wish I was away for a week Smile Too many toys, not enough time

I agree with BB try the Belgian/Dutch Beach towns easy to get to and lots to do. Good holiday atmosphere.
