If you pop your wheel off, use an axle stand or two because you need to get your head right in the wheel well.
If you have a GoPro or similar it might even get you visibility deeper in that pocket of the engine bay.

Booking it in for an inspection. Needs the engine bottom covers removing for a better look. It appears to be somewhere above and forwards of the front diff....and it’s defo engine oil

Block a bit wet behind: my theory is that wind pressure pushes it back.

I had oil leak on mine a whale back and it was a plug that screws in the top of the oil pump. I losend the plug, applied some silicon, tighten it back in and all good.
