My MY08 TDV8 has had 2 batteries in the last 4 years. The most recent episode was a few weeks ago and even using a CTX battery charger wouldn't charge it enough to start the car more than once. My pattern of usage hasn't helped, as I'm away for long periods of time and use the car only at weekends, only for shortish journeys.

I have same battery, my is original to the car so going on to 6 years old and still holding very well. you can look up date of the battery on the negative post, on top. first two numbers are weeks and other two year. my is 34 (mid september) 2011.

What I did was jump start the battery with a Fiat 500 I also own. Connected it up and left it running for 15 min and the range rover started first time. Left this running for an hour and a half then put the battery charger on it. The voltage in the battery after running it was enough to allow the charger to go through it's checks and then charge the battery. |

When I replaced the useless Bosch S5 in mine with an AGM battery ALL my battery woes went away.

Land Rover quoted me £175 for an AGM and they said it was 95AH and 850 cold crank, which sounds a little low compared with many non AGMs people use.

I would advise following someone like Craigs advice but maybe find out who makes the batteries for jlr becuase they obviously dont manufacturer the batteries themselves. 2015 4.4 AB
